Absolutely fantastic doctor. I went to him when I was over 18 and just returned to him because of issues with my other Primary Care doctor. I LOVE Dr Joshua Summers!! He took the time to listen to what was going on and come up with an action plan. Love him so much!!
I'm a physician's daughter, and I typically avoid doctors because they can't usually hold a candle to my dad. The only reason I went to Dr. Summers is because my dad recommended him to me (after he retired). The reason I stayed with Dr. Summers is because he spent so much time with me (getting to know me and my kids) as if he didn't have a whole waiting room full of other patients. Dr. Summers didn't have a clue who I was for at least two or three years, nor did he care. I was just a human who needed help. He has always been approachable. He has always been available. If I need anything extra, I was proactive enough to make sure I got it. You know best what you need, so if you aren't proactive in asking for help, then you aren't living up to your end of the relationship. Doctors need your positive feedback, so you can't wait for them to read your mind. You are as responsible for your health as your Doctor is, so work with him or her.
